Dollywood is a wonderful award winning theme park located in the Smoky Mountains. It is owned by Dolly Parton, a Sevier County native.
If you love music then Dollywood will have you entertained all day long. What about rides? They have plenty to choose from. Even a steam locomotive dating back to the 1800s. And you should come hungry, because there is plenty of food of various types that feed the entire family. The park is also home to many craftsmen that display their talent everyday. Watch as glass is blown and metal is shaped right before your eyes. Catch a show at one of several theaters inside Dollywood. All are family friendly and very well done.
And next door is Splash Country. If you didn't get wet enough at Dollywood on River Rampage, then this place is for you. Water slides, wave pool, lazy river and even a water coaster. This is a great place for those hot summer days in the mountains. Cool off and relax before heading back to Dolly's Dreammore Resort for the night.
